CDC Elk Hair Caddis Fly Tying Instructions
The CDC Elk Hair Caddis is a variation of the traditional Elk Hair Caddis. The CDC Elk Hair Caddis is the more “buggy” version. The CDC feather imitates the legs and antenna of an adult caddis fly. The CDC feather adds buoyancy to the fly. CDC naturally floats and repels water. So combined with the elk hair, the CDC really helps the CDC Elk Hair Caddis float! The CDC Caddis can be tied in many sizes, but #14-18 is the most commonly used.
