Red Quill Mayfly Fly Tying RecipeThe Red Quill is a large mayfly that hatches in many western trout rivers.  The Red Quill often hatches late into the afternoon and evenings, but is sometimes seen early in the mornings.  The Red Quill can be tied in many different sizes, but the natural size in the west is a #12-16, depending on the river.
