Short Wing Emerger – Harrop’s

Harrop’s Short Wing Emerger Fly Tying Video Instructions

Short Wing Emerger Fly Tying Video RecipeThe Short Wing Emerger is a incredible emerger pattern developed by the “House of Harrop” fly tiers.  The Short Wing Emerger can be fish as a dry fly greased in the surface film, or nymphed on a nymph rig in the middle of the water column.  This makes the Short Wing Emerger one of the most versatile emerger patterns ever created.  I was introduced to the Short Wing Emerger while fishing Depuy’s Spring Creek in Montana, and it has the ability to fool the pickiest of trout!  One of my favorite patterns and a must have for any spring creek.  Give one a try!
