Spundun Mayfly Fly Tying Video Directions

Spundun Mayfly Fly Tying RecipeThe Spundun is a variation of the Comparadun and Sparkle Dun Pattern.  The Spundun uses spun deer hair for the wing and thorax, and the butt ends of the deer hair form the thorax (something the other two fly patterns are missing).  The Spundun is a great mayfly dry fly imitation and can be tied in various colors in order to imitate all of these mayflies.  In this video, we tied the Spundun in Olive, imitating the Blue Winged Olive or Baetis Mayfly.  Enjoy!
