Trigger Nymph Fly Tying Instructions

Trigger NymphThe Trigger Nymph is an extremely effective Mayfly Emerger Pattern.  The key to the Trigger Nymph is the “exploding” wing case.  The exploding wing case is made of Ice Dub, a very eye catching dubbing.  This ball of dubbing is imitating a insect exploding out of it’s nymph case, in the middle of the emergence.  The Trigger Nymph can be tied in sizes #12-18, and can be tied to imitate all types of mayflies.  Here we tied the Trigger Nymph in a Blue Winged Olive color.
