Arkansas River Pueblo Report | Feb. 10, 2012

Date: Feb 10, 2012
Flow: 61 CFS
Water Temp: 39 Degrees

Had a great day today with Rickey and Mike.  It was not the day of hogs, but we certainly caught plenty of fish.  Today we fished the lower sections of the river near Pueblo Blvd.  It was cold in the morning, well below freezing, but it warmed up nicely by the middle of the day.  The fish are still keyed in on midges.  A small Black Beauty, Zebra Midge and Johnny Flash were the midges getting the job done.

The fish are still eating eggs fished in the deeper slots.  Not too many anglers on the river today.  I was surprised, usually Fridays can be busy.  Today was just another weekday.  The lower river has a ton of 8-12 inch fish which are very willing to eat.  The morning fished well and as the sun climbed into the sky, the fish began to slip into the deeper runs.  Overall a great day with great friends!
