Tarpon Cockroach

The Cockroach is a classic and very effective Tarpon Fly. The Cockroach is simple fly to tie and is a basic pattern for any Tarpon fly box. The Tarpon Cockroach has many modern variations, this video demonstrates the simple and classic version of the Cockroach. The Cockroach can be tied big or small, depending on the location and finickiness of the Tarpon. A #1/0 Cockroach is great for the Florida Keys, where Tarpon are spooky and more educated. A larger Cockroach, such as a #2/0 0r #3/0 is great for Mexico. A great fly and a must have for any Tarpon box!
